It’s not just a cliche to say that time flies when you’re having fun. There were so many things going on at Agape in 2017, that the year flew by. Our very last Sunday of 2017 was on New Year’s Eve, and 3 services were held. We had our regular 9;00 am and 11:00 am services before letting out to allow everyone to go home to eat, rest, and spend time with family. Then at 9:00 pm we were back at church for a New Year’s Eve service. At New Year’s Eve Service, there were many testimonies given about how good God had been during the year. Pastor Townsend preached from Genesis 22:1-14 on the topic of “God Will Never Break His Promise”. What a great encouraging a message to end the year. Then everyone fellowshipped together at the potluck held after service. There were all types of dishes from salads to ribs and even some African dishes, and the dessert table was full of a variety of sweets!

Every year God reveals a theme for Agape to work towards for the year. Then on the first Sunday of the year, Pastor Townsend reveals that theme to the congregation. This year’s theme is “This is the Year of Unlimited Praise”! He spoke about how important it is to praise God no matter what. Through the good and the bad, we should put a praise on it because things change when you are praising God. Praise him every day, all year long.
